The Tiger II was a German heavy tank of WWII, known as the "King Tiger". It had thick armor and was armed with a long barrelled 8.8 cm anti-tank cannon. It was used by both the German Army and Waffen-SS heavy tank battalions, first in Normandy by the 503rd on July 11, 1944.
