The US Navy's Elco 80' Motor Torpedo Boat, Early Type, is based on their PT-103 design, well-known for President Kennedy's PT-109 incident. Often used during WWII to disrupt the "Tokyo Express," the PT Boats caused chaos for the "Imperial Japanese." The boat measures 80ft (24.2M) in length, with a 20ft. 8in. (7M) beam and a displacement of 56 tons. Its three sets of 1,350 horsepower Packard 4M-2500 V12 gasoline engines allow it to reach a top speed of 43 knots. Armaments included four 533mm torpedo tubes, two twin .50 caliber turrets, and a single 20mm Oerikon gun. The PT boats were often customized by their crews with additional weapons.
