Designed by German artilleryman and military engineer Karl Becker, this German anti-tank self-propelled gun was based on the captured FCM 36 light tanks from 1940 in France. Their efforts greatly enhanced the mobility of artillery units by installing field guns and other weapons on captured equipment. Among their conversions were various French combat vehicles, including the FCM 36 tanks, in collaboration with ALKETT.
