With a widespread range and a long history of use by the Imperial Japanese Navy, the Mitsubishi A6M "Zero" fighter aircraft, also known as the Reisen, was a formidable foe during World War II. Despite its initial dominance in combat, it eventually fell behind in capability compared to newer Allied fighters. Despite this, it remained in service for the duration of the war, with some even being used for kamikaze missions. With production numbers surpassing all other Japanese combat aircraft, the Zero left a lasting impact on the war.
