1/48 OV1A/JOV1A Mohawk Vietnam/Later era Armed Observation & Intelligence USAAF Aircraft

In 1954, the US Department of Defense put out a tender for a lightweight two-seater aircraft with twin turbo-prop engines, and Grumman's G-134 won. The Army funded the project and the first test flights of the YAO-1AF took place in 1959. After improvements, the aircraft was renamed OV-1A and used for photoreconnaissance, with the ability to carry weapons for self defense.
