During WWII, the German military utilized a powerful tank destroyer called the "Elefant," originally known as the Ferdinand and equipped with VK 45.01 (P) tank hulls. After upgrades and modifications, it was renamed the Elefant in May 1944 and had the official designation Panzerjäger Tiger (P). In the ordnance inventory, it was recorded as Sd.Kfz. 184.
