Local Clubs

Are you local to the Southeastern NC/Northeastern SC area? There are a variety of scale modeling clubs and organizations to be a part of. Check out the info below and see if any of these would be a great fit for you - we'd love to see ya there!

Wilmington NC Plastic Modelers meets twice a month in Wilmington, NC. Their mid-month meeting is the third Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Wilmington Fire Station 3 on Cinema Dr. The regular club meeting is the first Saturday of every month from 2 to 4:30 pm at the Pine Valley Branch of the New Hanover County Public Library (and is usually followed up with pizza at Slice of Life across the parking lot!). Feel free to join the Facebook group - it's a very lively community.

Eastern Carolina Plastic Modelers is local to New Bern, NC. They are the gracious hosts of DownEastCon every other year and meet at Bridgeton Methodist Church in Bridgeton, NC on the third Saturday of the month from 12 - 2pm. Keep an eye on their website, if there are any meeting changes they will be posted there. They also have a Facebook Group that is well worth joining for the camaraderie and knowledge sharing!

Lafayette Scale Modelers are local to Fayetteville, NC. Their meetings are held the second Saturday of each month at the HobbyTown in Fayetteville from 1 to 3pm. They also host a build day at HobbyTown the last Sunday of every month from 12:30 to 4:30 pm.

Grand Strand Scale Modelers meet on the third Saturday of every month at the Socastee Library in Myrtle Beach, SC. They are the hosts of the annual BeachCon show, which was one of the very first model shows we ever attended and it continues to be a great time year after year.

All of these groups organize these meetings for the love of the hobby, so it would be great to support them and the events they host. It doesn't matter if you build armor, airplanes, cars, paint gaming miniatures, assemble Gunpla, etc - you are guaranteed a good time with some likeminded folks! See you there!
