Hi Coastliners! I realize that it's been a while since we've posted a blog, but we've been busy bees! I wanted to take a minute and diverge from our usual Coastline Builds posts to do a quick write up on DownEastCon 2024 hosted by the Eastern Carolina Plastic Modelers back in July of 2024. They are a great group of folks and if you ever find yourself in the New Bern area, be sure to check out their monthly meeting!
This is a local IPMS model show that attracts folks in a pretty wide radius from New Bern. It is so well ran that I hope it doesn't skew our expectations of vendoring other shows in the future! Ben and I had the opportunity to meet so many nice people that seemed very appreciative of having our accessories and supplies for sale locally (instead of paying expensive shipping!). I was so busy the whole day that I never even had the opportunity to check out the entries, but the photos posted to the ECPM website (linked above) showed there were SO many quality entries! We have so much amazing local talent.
